Community Outreach & Crime Prevention

To make the Town of Thornton a safer community, the Thornton Police Department conducts community outreach and crime prevention programs intended to encourage and improve police and community relations. These programs are designed to produce public support and identify real or potential community problems, concerns and risks. The police department and community stakeholders can work together to solve identified problems, improve concerns, and reduce or remove the involved risks. Our partnership with the community is formed through the sharing of timely and relevant information and is built on mutual respect and trust. If you are experiencing any issues or would like to express your concerns, please let us know. We are always looking for ways to improve our relationship with the community and welcome any ideas that you may have.
