Stay-at-Home Request to 2nd Homeowners of Thornton! UPDATE 4/2/2020

Stay at Home Orders

As a reminder, Governor Sununu has issued a stay-at-home order here in New Hampshire, that has taken effect as of Midnight, March 27th. With this order, every state in the Northeast, is under some sort of isolation order. The Town is asking that second homeowners observe their local State orders and consider not traveling to the Town of Thornton during this Pandemic. The Town is working under the assumption that the COVID 19 virus is here in Thornton just as we assume that it is everywhere in our state, region and country. This request is simply being made for your safety and the safety of those here in Town. The full-time population of Thornton has a high proportion of ‘at risk’ people and we do not want to put this population at increased risk of infection. The Town of Thornton appreciate's your assistance in reducing social contact and helping us to stop the spread of COVID 19. If you choose to come then we ask that you please follow all Stay at Home guidelines issued by the Governor. Thank you and Stay Safe!
