Minutes from August 1, 2011 meeting
8:30 AM – Thornton Town Hall

Attending : Steve Shaughnessy, Sally Davis. Fred Johnson was not present.

Motion to open Meeting

Meeting Opened 8:35 am

1. Minutes of July 2011 were approved.

2. Mail from UNH Cooperative Extension Forestry and Wildlife Resources re training opportunity for volunteers to be held Sept.21-24 in Greenfield, NH.
Deadline for applications was in June and letter was mailed in July. Sally will email them asking for earlier notification next year.

3. Sally will ask new librarian about space for Conservation Commission materials for citizen access in the library.

4. Steve commented on removal of sidewalk on bridge being rebuilt across the Pemi. Sally had understood it had been discussed and removal was not agreed to. Now it appears it has been unless it has been moved to the other side. If removal has been made, question of this being detrimental to testing of water quality and walking safety is an issue. We were informed of project but not told of this change if it has been made.
